At Home Again: Noel Paul Stookey in Concert
After three sets of sold-out performances, Noel Paul Stookey to Rubicon for another solo concert at his West Coast “home” theatre. As a part of the history making group Peter Paul and Mary, perhaps best known for its blend of modern folk music and social activism, Noel rallied support for safe energy, peace, and civil rights at some of the most iconic events in our history, including the 1963 March on Washington with Martin Luther King, Jr. As a s solo artist, Noel’s voice is known all across the land. He continues to champion causes related to faith and justice, and his work is regarded as funny, irreverently reverent, thoughtful, and compassionately passionate. For this special concert, he will perform PPM favorites like “If I Had a Hammer” and “Blowin’ in the Wind,” combined with originals including “In These Times” and his classic “Wedding Song,” which has raised millions of dollars for charitable causes. During his legendary career, Noel won five Grammy Awards, and he, Mary and Peter were honored with a Lifetime Achievement Award from the Songwriters Hall of Fame.
