Bring someone you love to experience the incredible artistry of Rubicon friends who are sharing their talents in a February Concert-Series! A portion of the proceeds will help offset the company’s losses during the pandemic.
They met serendipitously at Rubicon. They had a fairytale romance in New York. They donned mouse ears and married at Disney World. Now Broadway power couple Andrew Samonsky and Kate Reinders return to Ventura on Valentine’s Day to share their love story through the songs of Disney. You’ll hear hits from films such as “Monsters, Inc.,” “Hercules,” “Cinderella,” “Snow White,” “Sleeping Beauty” and “Tangled”; and swoon to tunes from stage shows including Frozen, The Lion King and Peter Pan. Andrew, a Ventura native, has starred at Rubicon in tick…tick…BOOM!, Little Miss Scrooge and Merrily We Roll Along (also starring Kate). His multiple Broadway credits include Lt. Cable on Broadway and on PBS in South Pacific. Kate’s many Broadway shows include the original cast of Something Rotten and Wicked. She currently plays Miss Jenn in Disney’s “High School Musical: The Musical: The Series.
Join us at 6:15 p.m. downstairs for complimentary champagne and a chance to bid on Disney-themed silent auction packages downstairs (enter through the Laurel Street door). VIP tickets also include a post-show reception with Andrew and Kate, and a Valentine’s dessert buffet with chocolate fountain, port and espresso, and a $50 tax-deductible donation to Rubicon.
