A Benefit Staged Reading
5 teenagers. 5 diaries. 5 songwriting teams. One unforgettable story.

This deeply moving new musical gives voice to five Jewish teens whose words and dreams were captured in journals during the Holocaust. With a book by Tony-winner ROBERT L. FREEDMAN (A Gentleman’s Guide to Love and Murder) and a score by Broadway’s rising stars, WITNESSES is a bold, vital, and contemporary theatrical event.

WITNESSES had a successful World Premiere run at CCAE Theatricals and a sold-out special one-night-only Reunion Concert in association with Jfest in June 2023. The production won the Craig Noel Award for Outstanding New Musical, and the Craig Noel Award for Outstanding Direction for J. (JEREMY) SCOTT LAPP, who helmed Rubicon’s acclaimed award-winning production of Bonnie & Clyde.
