SPECIAL SERIES
Wednesday Talkbacks: On each Wednesday of the regular run (not including previews), cast members return to the stage for a post-show discussion facilitated by our artistic staff about the themes and issues of the play.
Opening Galas: Price includes a pre-show beverage and a post-show celebration with the cast and special guests with hors d’oeuvres and a no-host bar. Attire is often themed to the show and details are provided a month in advance.

Being a part of the creation and development of Rubicon Theatre Company has been the great honor and joy of my life. As our brilliant board recruits new leadership to take the company to the next level of artistry and impact, I’m thrilled to announce Crossroads: Moments That Can Change Everything, a grand finale season that I hope will be the pinnacle of my tenure here at Rubicon. Join us, won’t you?
We kick off with the explosive energy of Million Dollar Quartet – set on a legendary night when Elvis Presley, Johnny Cash, Jerry Lee Lewis, and Carl Perkins come together at Sun Records and rock ’n’ roll is born. From there, we take a theatrical journey to an enchanting moonlit forest with A Midsummer Night’s Dream, where young lovers are transformed through magic and mischief. Our winter offering The 39 Steps is a madcap comic thriller in which a chance encounter with a stranger leads to a whirlwind of split-second decisions and surprising alliances.
Somebody to Love, a new ‘70’s rock musical, follows four college friends who pledge to stay connected and change the world — only to discover that life, love, and dreams don’t always follow the plan. And in Eleanor, one of the most powerful women in American history steps out of the shadows and reshapes a nation.
Our season closes with my favorite musical of all time, the soaring Tony Award-winning epic Ragtime, where the hopes and hardships of three American families intersect at a pivotal moment in history.

We have saved your seats for you and the process of renewing is now EASIER THAN EVER. You can do it all online in your Rubicon Theatre account!
In our new box office system you have a patron account that you can log in to anytime to see your ticket purchases and donations. Use the instructions below to login and renew your subscription:
- Click here to access your Patron Portal.
- Enter your email address to create your account (later you’ll use a login ID).
- Select the button that says “I am a returning customer,” then click “I don’t know my password.”
- The system will send an email to your email. Follow the instructions to create a password, then click the “reset password” button.
That’s it! You can then login.
At the top, you’ll see a notice that you have an invoice with a balance for your 6-show subscription. Alternatively, you can click on the “order history” tab to see your invoice and seats. If you’re happy with your subscription, you can just click PAY NOW and your subscription renewal will be complete.
If you’d like to make changes to your subscription, no problem! Simply call the box office at 805-667-2900 or email [email protected] and we will make any adjustments you request.
